Take that, MoPac!
Austin-based Yeti Coolers takes a swipe at the ridiculously past-due MoPac expansion project in a new billboard that has popped up atop its flagship store on South Congress Avenue.
The billboard, which advertises the new Yeti Jug, features a brief checklist with a sick burn for the team that’s been working on MoPac seemingly forever.
The Yeti Jug, the company says in its ad, is virtually indestructible. It also keeps ice all day. It does not, however, know when MoPac will be finished.
Then again, no one seems to know when that’ll happen, including the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority, which has given several estimated completion dates that have come and gone.
The contractor who handled the bulk of the project, according to the authority, has been fined millions.
